I met with one of my attorneys today and was made aware of establishing a Power Of Attorney for my son when he turns 18 if he doesn’t qualify for a disability or guardianship.
What a great idea! I would even set up a POA for my other child as well. Once they are 18, they are considered a ‘free agent’ which means they are free to make their own decisions
I don’t know about you, but when I was 18, 19, 20 I wouldn’t have had a clue what to do if I had to make a ‘tough’ decision on my own.
Just another way to protect our loved ones and at a much faster method!
